The aim of these guideliens is to assist doctors in providing every patient with relevant high-quality information throughout the care process, taking account of individual requirements and of the regard due to the patient.
The guidelines concern :
- the content and quality of information given
- how it is given
- how to ensure that information is consistent
- the quality standards required for written documents
- the criteria by which the quality of information given can be evaluated
