These guidelines propose recommendations to the following questions:
When should pregnant women be tested for cervicovaginal infection?
What samples to be taken from a pregnant woman to detect cervicovaginal bacterial infection? What to do in the event of cervicovaginal bacterial infection during a normal or problem pregnancy?
Is there any benefit in routinely screening for group B streptococcus carriers during pregnancy and labour? If so, what method should be used, when and how?
What intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis to be prescribed to prevent neonatal infection caused by group B streptococcus?
What tests should be carried out in the event of PROM?
What procedure in the vent of infection during PROM?
