Reason for request
KEPPRA 250 mg, 500 mg, 1000 mg film-coated scored tablets, KEPPRA 100 mg/ml drinkable suspension: Inclusion on the list of medicines reimbursed by National Insurance and approved for use by hospitals in the new indications "Monotherapy in the treatment of partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adult patients recently diagnosed with epilepsy" and "As part of combination therapy in the treatment of myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents aged 12 or over with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy". KEPPRA 100 mg/ml solution to be diluted for infusion: Inclusion on the list of medicines approved for use by hospitals in the new indications "Monotherapy in the treatment of partial seizures with or without secondary generalisation in adult patients recently diagnosed with epilepsy" and "As part of combination therapy in the treatment of myoclonic seizures in adults and adolescents aged 12 or over with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy".

Le service médical rendu pour ces spécialités est important dans les deux extensions d’indication : en monothérapie dans le traitement des crises partielles avec ou sans généralisation secondaire chez les patients à partir de 16 ans présentant une épilepsie nouvellement diagnostiquée ; en association dans le traitement des crises myocloniques de l’adulte et de l’adolescent à partir de 12 ans présentant une épilepsie myoclonique juvénile.

Le lévétiracetam apporte une amélioration du service médical rendu modérée (ASMR III) dans la prise en charge de l'adulte et de l'enfant de plus de 12 ans présentant une épilepsie myoclonique juvénile.

Le lévétiracetam apporte une amélioration du service médical rendu mineure (ASMR IV) en termes de tolérance par rapport à la carbamazépine LP en monothérapie dans le traitement des crises partielles avec ou sans généralisation secondaire chez les patients à partir de 16 ans présentant une épilepsie nouvellement diagnostiquée.
